2022 wrapped

A lot of really wonderful things have happened this year, we thought we’d take stock. We have you to thank for tremendous support playing a part in making the x+why community what it is. We’ve wrapped up 5 top highlights of what has been a truly fantastic year.

1 new city, 2 new sites

2022 was the year of Birmingham, May saw the launch of Foundry and October, 103 Colmore Row. The focus remains the same: award-winning flexible workspaces provided for purpose-driven businesses. Mission Lit book lands in hands

This year saw the publication of our first ever book, Mission Lit, a toolkit for finding purpose and outshining your competition. Written by our friend Richard Johnson, Mission Lit lifts the lid on how a new generation of business leaders are building companies which are loved by customers, investors and employees alike, solve real problems, and leave the competition in the dust.

A team that’s tripled

Joe, Eleni, Ed, Samella, Megan, Matt, Travers… just a handful of the names and brilliant minds to have joined the x+why team this year.  Every new team member grows the capacity of what we can achieve and empowers places for better business. We couldn’t be prouder of our growing team.

Workspace meets clubspace

With the same goal of making business a force for good, this year we launched our first ever clubspace, eighteen. On the eighteenth floor of 103 Colmore Row in Birmingham, eighteen exists at the intersection of work and play, to unlock an even richer experience for members. Read more about eighteen here.

90 socials, 83 events and partnerships

Each month at each site, at least three events take place - a Better Breakfast sees members gather for a complimentary breakfast buffet, Drinks and Links is an evening occasion for networking and socialising in the most relaxed of settings, and New Member Welcome - the clue is in the name. Beyond this, we also host a wide range of events and partnerships at our sites bringing together the most brilliant people for amazing causes. 2022’s agenda has been stellar, no pressure 2023!

From our team to you and yours, we’re wishing everyone a very happy festive season 2022. We’d like to share a heartfelt thank you to all our x+why community who have made this year so special.
