Community is a word thrown around a lot, so what do we really mean?

At x+why we break this down into three opportunities - expanding your network, gaining expert support and creating a greater impact. We’re unashamedly proud of it. We’re proud because our community-minded members themselves entirely activate these community ingredients we strive to bake into our offering. It’s them (you!) that make the magic happen.

Huguenot Place, our private office site in the heart of Spitalfields, is a prime example of the x+why community in action. It’s in its roots. The site itself takes inspiration from the community of Huguenots who once resided in Spitalfields’ streets. The wooden spool light fittings you’ll see on site are a nod to that rich community history.

Just a stone’s throw from Brick Lane and less than 4 minutes from Liverpool Street Station, Huguenot Place boasts 14,000 sq ft of managed office space and self-contained enterprise offices. Not only this, but you’ll also find ping-pong, a tailor-made x+why beer tap and event space for up to 80 attendees. The community of tech innovators, entrepreneurs and enterprises in this exclusive space has always been incredibly strong.

Allow us a quick analogy. A Huguenot Place-specific analogy to be precise. Community is in many ways like ping-pong; it’s fast, dynamic, reciprocal and takes two (or more) to tango. Albeit you’re at opposite ends of the table, you work together to make the sport happen, giving and receiving from each other. You’ll find ping-pong at Huguenot Place but more than that you’ll find the generosity of community spirit.
