I think x+why is important because it’s bringing together a really diverse range of businesses. Different sectors, different sizes, different types of founders with different backgrounds and diversity. The commonality is that all the businesses here believe in the positive impact that business can have.

Our team chose x+why because the organisation shares our environmental and social values as a fellow B-Corp. They also provide a wonderful office space in a very cool location! We benefit greatly from sharing x+why in Whitechapel with other purposeful businesses to network with. The team also wanted to be based in an office that could easily provide carbon footprint data for our environmental reporting
We love the amount of green in the building, especially the garden that is the perfect green oasis in the middle of our busy London business life. As we got to know the community, people and staff, this image has solidified. We love the working atmosphere, the events are great to connect to likeminded people and the staff are second-to-none. It’s a massive change from the soul crushing stale environments their competitors offer - especially in our post-pandemic life.
x+why has been a happy and inspiring home for our growing team since we started the studio in 2019. To be surrounded by other purposeful people and purposeful businesses, to have many encounters day to day with other interesting folk and interesting ideas, and to see our ourselves always as part of something bigger – these have all been central to the ethos and culture of the studio. As a base, x+why has helped us be free to help set the brands we work with free. We truly see our company, and our whole team, as Mission Lit.
