An evening at eighteen with Ben Francis & Melissa Snover

Our all-new clubspace, eighteen, recently hosted an evening for Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust that exemplifies all that the space is about. CEO of Gymshark, Ben Francis, and CEO of Get Nourish3d, Melissa Snover, led entrepreneurial discussions and guests feasted on canapés and custom beverages to raise money for an incredible local cause.

To have as esteemed guests as Ben and Melissa speak about their entrepreneurial journeys, was an absolute pleasure for team eighteen and for the event attendees. With the backdrop of a wall of plants and surrounded by many brilliant minds of Birmingham, the speakers shared their own growth stories and insights into the great successes of their businesses. Gymshark was only the second British company since 2001 to have achieved unicorn status without any prior investment. Mum of three, Melissa, grew her company to a £1.5m global health brand during the pandemic.

One of the key benefits of eighteen as an events space is the impressive bar and incredible hospitality team, including next-level chefs, on standby to boost any occasion. Food and drinks were flowing for the occasion - crayfish cocktails, curried chicken, fava bean hummus, sesame flatbreads and salmon brioche. Beers were from our friends at Attic Brew and the prosecco glasses spelled out the x of x+why before flowing through the evening.

It was a real pleasure for our team to host this occasion raising awareness and funds for Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
